Chilliboy Rallepelle? REALLY?

Hooker Chilliboy Rallepelle proved every white, rugby-loving South African right with his dreadful play in the loss to the Lions. We all know he got included for his race, and who more racist then Peter DeVilliers right? Now, I am deffinitely not a racist, but I do hate people who are and it is seemingly obvious where Peter DeVilliers falls in in the racism category. People like Januarie, Ndungane, Jacobs, Nokwe and I'm sorry to say - Kirchner and Pietersen, all should not be in the team. You wonder who could replace them?
  • Ricky Januarie - Jano Vermaak
  • Odwa Ndungane - Akona Ndungane
  • Adrian Jacobs - Jaques Fourie (and Wynand Olivier on the bench)
  • Nokwe - Louis Ludik (thus moving Pietersen to bench)
  • Kirchner - Stefan Terblanche (He could still be good for about another year)

And Chilliboy Rallepelle?! And I think I'm the only person in the World that thinks this, but Bismarck Duplessis is really not that great. He takes forever to get in his throws, throws in skew at least once a game, knocks on at least once a game, and gives away more penalties than you can count. All of these he did today. What happened to CJ Van Der Linde? Put Beast and him at prop and Smit at hooker! The guys at New Zealand rugby agree that Derrick Kuun is a much better option than Rallepelle and also in my opinion, Bismarck.

A team without racism would look like this:

  1. Beast
  2. Smit
  3. CJ Van Der Linde
  4. Bakkies Botha
  5. Victor Matfield
  6. Heinrich Brussow (Schalk Burger is always injured, has a red card or is suspended so yes...)
  7. Juan Smith (Although maybe put Kankowski and try a Kankowkski/Spies partnership)
  8. Pierre Spies
  9. Fourie DuPreez
  10. Morne Steyn
  11. Bryan Habana
  12. Jean DeVilliers
  13. Jaques Fourie
  14. Louis Ludik
  15. Stefan Terblanche
  16. Derric Kuun
  17. Gurthro Steenkamp
  18. Andries Bekker
  19. Danie Rossouw
  20. Ryan Kankowski (Or Juan Smith)
  21. Jano Vermaak
  22. JP Pietersen

Are We Satisfied with Winning 2-1?

Okay so we've won the series, but our performance in the last game was (and I don't think this word has ever been used to describe a rugby performance) terrifying. Why terrifying? Because if we play like that in the Tri-Nations the All-Blacks and the Wallabies will thrash us like we're Tonga! Now of course it's a little bit Peter DeVilliers' fault, but mostly it's individuals. Let me start in order, Zane Kirchner. Had a great first 15 minutes, but after that was simply pathetic. He's too inexperienced and erratic, not to mention him foiling a golden try-scoring opportunity, and is not yet of test calibre. Frans Steyn didn't do a great job as the second Williams try was his fault! He left a huge hole and let the Lions break through. Odwa Ndungane didn't officially cost us the game, which makes his day a success (I know that all the Lions' fans know it was a try). Jaques Fourie was a bit disappointing for someone of his calibre. He looked slow and lethargic and didn't really threaten the opposition defence. I don't think Wynand Olivier passed the ball once. He's too slow and not strong and I really have lost hope for someone who used to be one of my best players. He's still better then Jacobs though. Jongi Nokwe proved me wrong by saying he should start. He was as effective as putting a stick on the field. Looks like the wing combo should be Habana - Pietersen (But really Pietersen is nothing special). Morne Steyn didn't miss a kick and was probably the best South African player today. No errors really from him. DuPreez really disappointed me today and didn't look like himself. Looking at other blogs, people are saying Pienaar was great at scrumhalf. What is it that makes him good? I remember the one maul that the ball came out on our side, Pienaar mis-judged it and they got the ball back. He really didn't play well. Kankowski was average for a man who is definitely one of the best in the world. Spies didn't excite us either but we should definitely start him on the wing when we play a bad team. (Italy and lower). Juan Smith was solid but still not as good as he was in the world cup. Brusow was as always amazing. Turnovers, tackles and constantly saving us and making the other guys not look like idiots, the other forwards owe him a thank-you. Average day for Matfield. Muller is a useless rugby player. Slow on attack, weak in defense, and if you watch the game again, notice that during the rucks Johan Muller is always on the side watching! I can't wait till he gives up rugby and stops captaining the Sharks. Props were okay and Chilliboy Rallepelle proved that Peter DeVilliers is a racist by playing so badly that even Peter DeVilliers now hates PeterDevilliers. Too add to it was a mix of poor luck, poor attitude, and more than poor refereeing.
